I HAVE A PHYSICAL LIMITATION. ARE THE CLASSES OPEN TO ALL ABILITY LEVELS?

7flow classes are for people of all ability levels. Your physical ability is not a limitation to participate in sevenflow. People participate in wheelchairs, from a seat on the floor and even with the assistance of an aide. All are welcome at 7flow. One of the main benefits of this form of moving meditation is that it is accessible to everyone regardless of ability.

I’M NOT SUPER COORDINATED & DON’T PICK UP YOGA POSES EASILY. WILL THIS BE SUPER AWKWARD?

There are no special moves, poses, or dance routines to learn with 7flow. It’s simply 75 minutes of time dedicated to focusing on your breathing and moving however feels best for your body. As long as you come in with the intention of staying present with the sensations in your body, you’ll do just fine. It can be normal to feel nervous or self-conscious before your first class. That being said, the choice to stay with and move through any feelings of fear or nervousness that may come up is actually a huge part of the benefits that come with practicing this style of moving meditation. Whatever you feel comfortable with is okay. Some people move a lot during class and others choose to simply sway along or nod their head to the music.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT IN CLASS?

Because 7flow is both a physical and emotional practice, you can expect that you’ll have a totally different experience every time you come to class. Your experience that day will be based on how you’re feeling physically and mentally, as well the quality of energy that comes up for you to dance through in class. Also, the awareness you’re able to bring to your breath throughout the class will play a big part in the overall way you feel throughout and after a class.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO PREPARE FOR CLASS?

We recommend arriving at 10 minutes before class to check in, get settled, talk with the teacher if need be and prepare yourself for practice. It also gives you a chance to connect with other students before you start to 7flow.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO CLASS?

A bottle of water. We encourage you to bring your reusable water containers, just please no glass.

WHAT DO I WEAR TO CLASS?

Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move around unrestricted. We ask that people practice barefoot, but if you can’t for any reason, no problem. We offer special studio slippers for purchase if you want the extra foot support while we move.

HOW DO I BECOME A 7FLOW® TEACHER?

We offer a couple of in-person teacher trainings every year, as well as an always-available 8-week online teacher training. After completing the training, you’ll be certified to teach 7flow classes as a private teacher or workshop leader. We also offer our teachers ongoing support and marketing resources to help you in reaching out to yoga and fitness studios to see about adding 7flow to their class schedule. Some people sign-up for the teacher training just to learn more about their chakra system and the practice of moving meditation.
